Man Killed By Roommate In Virginia, Suspect Captured In Washington DC: Police

A 43-year-old man was fatally shot in a vehicle during an argument with his roommate in Virginia, and the suspect was captured in Washington DC, authorities said.

Brandon Harry Edwards, 34, of Dumfries, surrendered to the DC Metro police after the 1:40 a.m. shooting Saturday, Sept. 2, on the 17200 block of Richmind Highway in Dumfries, Prince William County police said.

Derrick Lanell Jordan, of Dumfries, was shot in the driver's seat of a vehicle multiple times by Edwards, his roommate, during an argument, PWC police said.

Edwards was transported to an area hospital where he died. Edwards fled to DC, where he was arrested. He was charged with murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
